its first trip to Dakar, 16 to 26 February 2011, started the project MultimediArt Senegal, an initiative created to of Cherimus, who seeks to bring culture and music of Sulcis and Sardinia to face with the Senegalese.

The musician Santadi (CI) Alberto Balia, who worked on the musical aspect of this first phase of the project, together with a group of co-ordination and support, met with local musicians to start an approach that will lead to creation of a music CD, a DVD documentary and a book of images, which will be the tangible result of the project.

For the duration of the stay, the group was hosted by ' Senegalese Association K ë r Thiossane , that deals with multimedia and development of young talent. The entire staff of K ë r Thiossiane supported us in every aspect of this first phase, allowing us to enter into actual contact with the reality of Dakar and to learn traditional musicians outside the city, belonging to ethnic groups and cultures.

The path will continue in May between meetings, music lessons and culture of both countries, the discovery of typical musical instruments of the two geographical areas, up to the creation of a series of concerts and workshops to be held in Dakar, Perdaxius and coal, between May and August.
